Kieron and I have been friends since before either of us were doing comics professionally. Given that he’s at twenty years since Phonogram and I’m at fifteen since Strode (speaking of, more on that in a sec) it’s been a minute.
He’s a better writer than me generally - I think The Power Fantasy is probably the best comic being published right now - but he did shout out my other thing Death or Comics in his newsletter.
Which, you should read his newsletter. Not just a promotional or process list, he has interesting mini essays and links to cool stuff. It’s one of two email I read literally every time it’s sent, and I wasn’t kidding when I said it’s what this newsletter wants to be.I’m not there yet, but I’m working on it.
Anyway, speaking of Strode, Ian Bertram did this incredibly dope cover for us. We liked this so much we tried to make it THE cover of the treasury edition, but were talked out of it.
